Check Point

Track Lone Workers with Check Point

Check Point is a service for keeping track of at-risk personnel with no need for specialised hardware. The service simply operates off a unique PIN number, supplied to each user in the scheme.

Users are prompted when first checking in to record a voice message outlining their duties and where they are going- in the event of an emergency, this message will be checked by the operators in order to determine where the user is when the alarm is raised.

How does Check Point work?

To start monitoring, the user calls the Check Point number using any mobile phone or landline before entering their PIN into the system. After confirmation of their identity, a Check Interval is entered and the system is in operation. If the user does not call back within the specified Check Interval their phone will automatically be called to ensure that all is well. When the user answers, the system prompts them to confirm they are alright and extend the time before the next check-in call. The system also gives the option to raise an alarm if needed. If the user does not answer, Checkpoint calls three more times and if they still do not answer, an alarm is automatically routed to the Check Point staff who then escalate the call to the appropriate authorities.

Check Point does not require a mobile signal, it can be accessed from any landline or other phone for the cost of an 0845 local call. The user simply enters their PIN on the handset once the call has connected to log in, no special equipment is required.

The Check Point scheme costs as little as £55 a year per worker- less than £5 a month.
