Go Green! - Lower Emissions

Here are just a few ways we can help you become a Greener Company:

"For fleet operators, telematics holds the current promise and future potential to make tremendous improvements to their businesses in the form of significantly reduced fleet running costs. "

"Knowing the exact location of vehicles and being able to communicate with them has obvious benefits especially for companies such as couriers, delivery companies, or engineers/repair and maintenance companies where vehicle deployment can be effectively and efficiently managed."

Increase Fuel Efficiency

By installing Telematics or tracking equipment into your vehicles you can track each vehicle to determine whether the routes they are taking are the most efficient and also identify whether the vehicle is being used for personal mileage as well as business.

Reduce Journey Times

Telematics and tracking equipment can help you optimise your journey times by evaluating the routes taken by each of your vehicles to help identify when vehicles have taken unnecessary routes or have hit problematic routes.

Minimise Carbon Emissions

Carbon Emissions can easily be reduced using telematics equipment by optimising your journeys as discussed above, reducing engine idling times, keeping vehicle speed down, efficient braking and only using your vehicles for business use. The Energy Saving Trust provide the Top 10 tips for greener fleets available here

Reduce Engine Idling

All of our vehicle tracking products provide reports for each vehicle on a journey basis. The reports give a complete breakdown of every journey the vehicle has made in the time period chosen by the user. Each journey will show a summary of the engine idling, moving and standing times to allow fleet managers to determine which drivers leave their vehicles idling for long periods of time. Long periods of engine idling can dramatically reduce engine life and service periods, this means more frequent servicing and parts replacement and in the worst case scenarios a new engine. More information on engine Idling can be found here.

Identify Vehicle Speeding

With all of our vehicle tracking and telematics equipment it is possible to quickly identify vehicles that are speeding on our maps. The tracked routes are colour coordinated to show the speed of each vehicle at the time of each position. Our telematics units also provide functionality for reporting when a driver goes above a pre-determined speed, this allows fleet managers to quickly identify drivers that speed on a frequent basis and can be trained as necessary to allow safer and economical driving. Speeding reports are also available online and in our STACC system so that fleet operators can identify all speeding incidents up to 6 months in the past.

Identify Harsh Braking

With our telematics equipment it is possible to identify each individual harsh braking event and the location it took place. This allows fleet managers to quickly identify vehicles that may need additional driver training to manage the vehicle in a safer and economical manner.

Identify Engine Over Revving

When using our telematics equipment, all engine usage data is collected automatically and stored on a web server so that fleet managers can always access each individual vehicles usage statistics down to the time spent in each gear, over revving data and rev band statistics. This allows fleet managers to maintain all vehicles according to their usage and train drivers that are not driving to the best of the vehicles ability.
