Lone Worker Protection and Tracking

A new lone worker protection application for RIM's Blackberry is now available from Safetrac Solutions. This high-tech browser-based application incorporates GPS tracking and CellID location integrated into our own website login.

The application works from a simple traffic-light system. A green bar means that all is fine, an amber bar indicates potential danger, and a red bar means immediate danger.

The application allows users to enter into the Amber status and set a countdown to alert the control centre that they are entering a potentially dangerous situation for a period of time. Should the client then fail to revert back to Green status and does not ask the application for more time, the status will be automatically upgraded to Red alert.

Easy

The application is incredibly easy to use- it opens by default from the right-hand button on the Blackberry. Upon opening, it automatically connects to the control centre and immediately begins to send GPS coordinates. It also permits short messages to be exchanged between the Blackberry unit and the control centre.

Don't Panic

This new Blackberry application on offer from Safetrac incorporates Cell ID unit location- meaning that even if the unit has a weak GPS signal, or none at all, a general location is still possible using triangulation from cellular network masts.
